2/29/2024 0 Comments Ekko builds 7.18![]() Ekko's skirmish power is also fairly good, if you can land your Parallel Convergence on multiple targets it can turn a fight extremely quick. Your ultimate almost guarantees that you survive no matter how bad you misplay it. Ekko starts to become a one shot machine especially after Nashor's Tooth or Hextech Rocketbelt and a few Dark Seal stacks. You also snowball extremely hard being able to absolutely run over games if you get a few kills under your belt. I put this matchup as a 3 in low elo because Yi will always find a kill somewhere but in Plat+ its definitely a 2 matchup as people start to learn how to play around him.Īlthough Ekko is a scaling champ and relies on gold to do damage, you still have pretty good gank potential early after level 3. Care for Master Yi counterganks after 6 though, Yi is amazing at cleaning up low health enemies because of his R and Q resets. You need to be proactive on the map though because Yi turns into a monster mid and late game if your team doesn't know how to play around him or lacks reliable CC. ![]() He will end up either burning flash to escape it, get stunned and you can kill him or proc passive on him and run away. If Yi uses his alpha strike to gap close onto you then immediately lay your W down and play on it. Many low elo Yi players will waste their Q. The nuance to fighting to Yi early is playing around your W. If they take ignite then definitely avoid fighting him early without help. Yi is still a threat in a 1v1 early on though. ![]() But that's not what anyone's thinking of when they ask for crit scaling.Majority of Master Yi's won't have much early game presence as he's weak early on and should focus on farming. Now if the argument is that Shiv just shouldn't be a first item (no Noonquiver, removing either AD or AS), then that's a worthy discussion. Giving it an AD/Crit ratio just brings us back to the item scaling, makes it especially hard to balance for Rengar or Yasuo/Yone, and just isn't needed. In small doses this is fine (Lich Bane again). Considering a full build has 5 items with unique passives, if they near the power level of spells (think about the AP ratio on Lich Bane and compare it to Jax W, consider Nashor's Tooth and compare it to something like Kai'Sa passive or Kayle P/E), then you start playing your items' patterns more than your champion's. We are trying to make items scale less as an overall game direction. The fact that LeBlanc and only LeBlanc abuses this item means this is a LeBlanc scaling problem, not a mage poaching problem. The item's stat profile says it's bad on mages.I truly don't believe Shiv needs to scale with AD or Crit. ADCs were the byproduct, and I know this because I was spamming GP and Jayce at the time, while seeing how my friends were just on auto pilot. The item and the champions being able to use it literally warped the meta. 3 servants to set things up and one enchanter using an item.ĪDCs were literally buying the support item to rush gold gain for the support. You just proved my point - "4 servants" to set things up. ![]() The entire meta was adc + 4 servants and you want to pretend it wasn't adc meta Someone needs to spend time setting things up, someone needs to zone threats, someone needs to be buffing someone else, etc.Īnd also, if a particular role or item is giving someone else a lot of "agency", surely the problem lies with that role/item? Twitch chat popped off saying Katarina was broken and how she did all the work.Įvery time this gets brought up, a lot of people fail to realise that the person doing all the fancy plays aren't going to be doing most of the work. I saw a Rell do a 3-man ult, and then stun afterwards - Katarina just dashed, ulted, had resets, and then got a triple. This same principle can be applied to other roles. Can say the same stuff back - how is it to difficult to understand that it's the team that makes an ADC shine, not the ADC themselves - or a combination of things?
